Your Role in Our Mission:
- Monitor the status of orders and expedite the flow of materials from suppliers as needed.
- Contact suppliers for shipment status when orders are past due.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Check that open purchases orders have received acknowledgements.
- Communicate with production and purchasing departments to identify priorities and bottlenecks.
- Generate and distribute reports on outstanding orders and expediting activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery and supply chain efficiency.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree. A supply chain degree or related field preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or just-in-time (JIT) principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in expediting, supply chain, logistics, or procurement role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or supply chain management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
